Power Company No. 2 (PC2), a unit of the state-owned Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN) has planned to invest a total of VND1 trillion (US$59.17 million) in 42 power projects in southern Vietnam this year.

 

The capital will help build 110-kV power lines with a total length of 281 kilometers.

 

The company has so far this year invested VND331 billion (US$19.585 million) in the projects.

 

It is now carrying out some power grid projects to bring power to remote and highlands villages in central highlands Lam Dong province, and southern Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces.

 

PC2, with over four million clients, had revenue of VND6,721 billion (US$397.69 million) in the first five months this year, up 18.06 per cent on year.
