The World Bank plans to provide US$3 billion-US$3.5 billion aids to Vietnam in the 2010-2012 period, the WBs Country Director Victoria Kwakwa told Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi May 27.
The bank will aid US$1.3 billion-US$1.5 billion for Vietnam for this fiscal year, Victoria Kwakwa said.
WB has so far funded a total of US$5.1 billion aids for Vietnam , and only US$1.4 billion has been disbursed, therefore, the government should boost disbursements of the remainder as pledged.
